IP Docket Specialist

Are you a bright and ambitious early-to-mid career IP professional with excellent dual IP and TM docketing skillsets, and a focus on transfer-in-and-out processes? R&W Group has an excellent opportunity for an IP Docketing rock star at one of our favorite clients- - this role can be filled in Boston, or on the West Coast.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage and contribute to the firm’s intake process for new clients and docketing matters, and handle related job tasks such as client correspondence; database management, auditing, and oversight; assigning docket numbers and dates to incoming and outgoing files; and working in concert with records, conflicts, and other IP personnel departments on procedural requirements related to transfer-in and transfer-out of new clients. The successful candidate will have three-to-seven plus years of relevant patent/IP docketing experience, with demonstrated experience handling transfer in/transfer out job duties. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of standard procedures and practice in dealing with the USPTO. Special preference will be shown to candidates with experience utilizing computerized docketing databases (such as CPi, PATTSY, or Inprotech). The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent communication skills, possess excellent database experience, and have a tech-savvy and quick-learner mindset. Above all, the ideal candidate will possess a superior degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
