Jeff Weinstock is an industry veteran with over a decade of staffing experience. After a successful career practicing law as a litigator in Washington, DC, Jeff joined an international staffing company and was quickly promoted to Managing Director of the DC legal placement office where he grew the legal business for seven years. Jeff has also worked as a senior executive with several national and regional staffing agencies, where he gained experience fulfilling personnel needs in the areas of Office Administration, Accounting, Finance, and Information Technology.
Jeff is a proud graduate of Vassar College and the Boston University School of Law. Jeff’s knowledge, vision and honesty have made him one of the most well respected professionals in the greater Washington, DC area.
Jeff has served as a member of the American Staffing Association’s Capital Area Council for the DC metro area. He has also presented seminars to law firms, corporations and associations across the country to help them maximize their employees’ potential.
Kathryn Parente brings 20 years of professional experience in recruiting and career services to R & W Group. Having worked in both corporate and academic career services recruitment arenas, Kathryn has a keen insight into the needs and challenges our clients face as they grow and maintain their staff. Previously the Assistant Director for Employer Outreach and Recruitment for the Office of Career Services at Georgetown University Law Center, she successfully established and maintained relationships with legal employers to ensure that Georgetown Law students had access to the best opportunities ahead of other schools. Prior to that, Kathryn worked as Recruitment Manager for the Career Development Office at The George Washington University Law School where she was in charge of all on- and off-campus recruiting programs, advising students on interview protocol, and assisting employers with recruiting needs. She also has a background in international development recruiting with a large global development company based in the D.C. area.
Kathryn earned her B.A. in International Studies from American University and her Master’s in Tourism Administration with a focus on Event Management from The George Washington University.
Kathryn lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and son.
Jacob Kates brings a wealth of experience to R & W having launched his HR career at a prestigious boutique Intellectual Property law firm in Washington, DC. His education and years of experience on the inside combine to create a powerful recruiting force for both R & W clients and candidates. Having been the client, Jacob knows the things most important to law firms as they attract and retain talent. And he certainly knows how best to deliver excellent customer service.
Prior to joining R & W, Jacob was an HR Assistant at Sterne Kessler Goldstein & Fox. He earned his BS in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland. Jacob lives in Baltimore, Maryland, with his wife and three sons. Outside of his work as a recruiter, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, exercising, and rooting for his “other true love”: the Washington Football Team.

Lori Rones has a passion for recruiting. For more than 15 years, Lori has helped great people find great jobs. Her success in recruiting is built on a successful career as an attorney. Prior to becoming a Recruiter, she served as a Litigator with the United States Department of Justice, a Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and as an Associate for a top law firm.
Lori is a proud graduate of McGill University and the University of Notre Dame Law School. She brings her deep knowledge of the legal profession and exceptional people skills to bear in finding the very best match between candidate and client in all fields.
Outside of the office, Lori and her family are passionate baseball fans. They love to watch the Nats, enjoy the beach, and hike the National Parks.
Marketing Specialist / Recruiter
Brian Sullivan is an alumnus of Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Secondary Education Teaching Certificate. After graduating, Brian briefly taught high school social studies before transitioning into client-facing roles in sales, higher education, and corporate training. During his time in higher education, he developed long-term partnerships between major universities and new potential internship sites, and later pivoted to the pharmaceutical industry, where he oversaw and facilitated the onboarding of new hires from all across the United States. Brian brings more than 10 years of diverse professional experience in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area to R & W Group. In every role that he has held, Brian always feels most fulfilled when he is helping others reach their potential and achieve their goals.
Brian and his wife Neva live in Baltimore, Maryland with their dog, Perrin. In his free time, Brian enjoys playing his guitar, attending car shows, cheering for his favorite Michigan-based sports teams, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Arzin Amin is a Business Development and Talent Recruitment professional with over 15 years of experience developing and executing recruiting plans within both agency and in-house settings. Experienced as both a Business Development Consultant and Senior Corporate Recruiter, Arzin helped businesses capture federal contracts by networking and building relationships to secure exciting new work. In past roles, she has helped drive innovation, improving industry best practices and delivering transformational outcomes for a demanding government marketplace.
Arzin uses her love of networking and problem-solving to efficiently identify and place desired professionals. Her recruiting philosophy is simple: be the best to attract the best. She enjoys a challenge, which was what initially drew her to the staffing industry. She’s able to see the big picture and utilizes her skills to be a client's go-to resource.
Arzin lives in Potomac, Maryland with her husband, 2 kids, and their Labradoodle. During off-hours, she enjoys yoga and time with family and friends. Her brother was on the Washington Jr. Capitals team back in the 90's, so she is a Washington Capitals fan.
Mirella Hurst is a graduate from Florida Atlantic University and is originally from Fort Myers, Florida. She previously worked as an Events Coordinator for a South Florida grass-roots magazine publication where she aided in expanding the magazine distribution and advertising to businesses and doctor’s offices around the country. Mirella moved to the Northern Virginia/D.C. area in January 2021 and, before finding a permanent role with R & W Group, provided assistance with several projects in the area from research for book publications to creating tracking systems for government grants.
As someone who graduated in the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic while looking to begin a professional career, Mirella understands the struggles of jobseekers finding the right positions to apply towards, as well as the essential skills necessary to succeed in the interview process. Mirella is hoping she can use those learned abilities to push any candidate in the right direction towards success.
