CASE MANAGER/PARALEGAL OPENING!
R & W Group is on the search for skilled litigation paralegals interested in being considered for a Case Manager position with an excellent mid-sized law firm (hybrid work schedule). This role is geared toward applicants who are at the advanced legal assistant and case management skill level with extensive litigation and case management experience. The firm’s practices include cases before government agencies as well as all levels of federal and state courts.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Interface with attorneys, outside agencies, vendors, and professional staff
Attention to detail and experience in the preparation of court and agency filings
Experience with trial/arbitration or hearings in various forums
Fully support the factual research, Bluebooking, cite-checking, proofreading, organization of documents and files, coordination with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel
Work with litigation support staff and attorneys in assessing and overseeing case needs and requirements
Assist attorneys with research using various electronic search tools and the management of various database platforms
Requirements:
Four+ years’ experience as a case manager/legal assistant preferred; four-year degree preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail
Well-developed proofreading, cite-checking, and Bluebooking skills
Proficient experience with database platforms, Westlaw, LEXIS, and Best Authority
Ability to work as part of a team
Willingness to learn
Ability to juggle concurrent projects
Flexibility to work overtime and travel
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on a hybrid work schedule.
