Attorney Recruitment Specialist!

R&W Group is looking for a rising legal recruiting professional! One of our favorite law firm clients in DC is looking for an Attorney Recruitment Specialist to join their busy legal recruiting team. The Attorney Recruitment Specialist is highly visible and is responsible for coordinating both lateral and student/entry-level hires.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing candidates based on the defined needs of the practice groups from attorney placement agencies, social media, and advertisements in legal publications

  • Arranging, preparing, and adjusting interview schedules for associate or partner candidates

  • Working with headhunters to establish fee agreements, solidify relationships, identify and communicate current needs

  • Coordinating attorney offer process: reference checking, background checks, conflicts checks and offer letter preparation

  • Coordinating the OCI process: registration, screening/selecting resumes, scheduling student call back interviews

  • Coordinating DC student hiring meetings, student offer process (letters, reference, background, etc.) and follow-up efforts

  • Coordinating DC 2L Diversity Scholarship selection and interview process

  • Administering DC's 10-week Summer Program under the supervision of the Attorney Recruitment & Development Manager

  • Overseeing the summer associates orientation and training schedule, managing the summer calendar and events

  • Overseeing the monitors, work assignments and the evaluation process

  • Monitoring attorney and student applications, database input, applicant tracking and correspondence, applicant reimbursement, file maintenance and processing departmental expenses related to recruitment

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of attorney recruitment experience in a law firm environment and Bachelor's Degree required

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work well independently in a demanding, fast-paced and service-oriented environment

  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent professional demeanor, sound judgment, discretion; must maintain the highest level of confidentiality

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with viDesktop is preferred.
