Staff Accountant Position!

In this role, you would work as a Staff Accountant for a company that works in the mortgage industry.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant you should have experience in preparing, analyzing, reconciling, and correcting:
Profit and loss accounts
Balance sheet accounts
Daily and monthly journal entries
Month-end close reporting and analysis
Cash receipts and cash disbursements
To be a successful member of the team, you will have:
Excellent communication skills with all levels of management and staff
Drive to meet deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail
Foresight to proactively avoid potential problems and recommend improvements on internal processes
Flexibility to assist co-workers at month-end close and to take on increased responsibility when needed
Job Requirements:
B.S. in Accounting (Finance degree is acceptable) and a strong understanding of the accounting principles.
At least 1-3 years of professional accounting experience (mortgage experience is a plus)
Advanced Excel skills
Previous general ledger and account reconciliation experience
Loan funding experience is a plus
