Commercial Real Estate Paralegal!

Are you a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal? Do you have experience with Titles and Surveys? One of our clients, a small real estate law firm in suburban Maryland, is looking for a Paralegal to join the team.

In this role, you would be the only Paralegal. You would be working with a fantastic group of 10 attorneys and 3 Legal Assistants. The attorneys are very self-sufficient. The team would want you primarily to focus mostly on Title and Survey work. As the team Paralegal, you could turn this into a leadership role.


In this role, you would be responsible for:

  • Review of commercial real estate title insurance commitments and surveys working toward acceptable final title insurance policies.

  • Preparing closing documents and reviewing due diligence documentation.

  • Preparation of collateral descriptions and financing statements.

  • Perform paralegal duties and responsibilities as directed by assigned attorneys

  • Monitor and meet deadlines under purchase and sale or other agreements.

  • Perform all assignments in strict compliance with ethical guidelines governing the practice of law.

  • Juggle multiple assignments in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

  • Possess impeccable attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Be a self-starter, detail-oriented with strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.

  • Use initiative and discretion in accomplishing routine assignments with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to manage a large workload in a fast-paced work environment.

Job Requirements:

  • BA or AA degree and Paralegal Certificate preferred, but not necessary (Experience is most important).

  • Two plus years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, specifically title and survey; law firm or title company experience preferred; or any combination of training. education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational and writing skills.

  • This will be an in-office position. The core working hours are 9 am-5:30 pm. There is not expected to be much overtime.
