Law Firm GSA Consultant!
Are you an experienced GSA Consultant with an advanced understanding of GSA schedules and experience with GSA contracts and modifications? Do you have experience in a customer facing position on federal projects in delivering/ordering off of GSA schedules? If so, R&W Group has a fascinating new position with a law firm client in Northern VA.
In this role you would be responsible for developing GSA proposals, negotiating and administering contract awards, ensuring compliance with contract and regulatory requirements, and leading contract audit and review activities. You would be the subject matter expert to many companies that operate in many industries with a global reach.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing federal contracts from contract proposal development, formation, and negotiation of GSA schedule for clients throughout the 20-year lifecycle of a GSA schedule
Responsible for managing GSA schedule engagements for multiple government contractor clients in a variety of industries
Develop GSA schedule offer, renewal, modification strategies, materials for our clients, and deliverables to the government
Advise and support clients in all aspects of GSA schedule contracting, including contract acquisition, maintenance, and compliance
Represent clients’ interests in interactions and negotiations with GSA personnel, including contracting professionals, analysts, and auditors
Maintain a high success rate in obtaining new GSA schedule contracts and renewals for clients
Assist firms operating in a sole source environment to achieve a smooth transition to bidding competitive negotiated procurements
Ability to represent clients through all GSA Centers and VA’s NAC
Lead clients on the process and specific steps for seeking for new schedules, options renewals, modifications, IOA visits, price analysis, CSP review, OIG audits, TAA compliance, and establishing best practices
Assist commercial companies who are transitioning to the federal market
Experience negotiating Federal Pricing Contracts
Deep understanding of GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract
Implement a contract administration plan to ensure stellar contract compliance
Request and negotiate modifications to GSA schedules including mass modifications
Ensure GSA schedule is up to date and in compliance
Keep current with changes in GSA and the federal procurement community
Train and assist clients in setting up compliance programs to effectively manage GSA contract obligations once awarded and on GSA Schedule
Identify to management any GSA or government changes, and assist in crafting response and plans to mitigate risk and loss of sales
Skills & Knowledge Required:
8+ years of related experience in GSA contracting environment
Bachelors’ degree
Professional certification (CPCM/CFCM/CSCM) preferred or graduate degree preferred
Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and GSAM, policies, and federal contract industry
Analytical skills to evaluate audit reports, regulations, and other relevant material
Outstanding oral and written communication skills to present recommendations to business leaders
Foster and maintain customer relationships
Skilled mentor, to assist in the development and training of others
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate well with leadership, peers, and staff at all levels to facilitate teamwork
Subject matter expert on US Federal contracting processes and procedures
Understanding of current GSA procurement changes and trends impacting GSA
Role:

Ability to use good judgement when encountering problem solving, proposing solutions, and explanation of cascading effects
