Temp-to-Perm Legal Admin (Silver Spring, MD)!
R&W Group has an excellent opportunity for a long-term temporary to perm Administrative Assistant to help support a dynamic business immigration and family law firm in Silver Spring, MD! The office is Metro-accessible.
Job duties include:
Process mail and compile mail log each day
Physically compile cases for filing each day
Assist with business development tasks
Manage calendars and schedule calls, meetings, events
Organize files on SharePoint, Clio case management and physically in the office
Track supplies and order more when necessary
Appear at certain events with or in place of lead attorney
Perform intake for new clients and procure potential clients for consultation
Call USCIS (government immigration service) and courts to resolve case-related issues
Correspond with clients regarding their case information through phone and email
Execute payments from clients via LawPay
Perform billing and invoicing procedures
Track client visa expirations and hearing dates
Research important immigration and family law news for email distribution and posting on Twitter
Undertake paralegal-level tasks when necessary
Occasionally go to local courts to physically file cases
Other miscellaneous tasks
Education, Skills, Abilities:
College degree strongly preferred
Desire to work in administrative field
Dynamic personality! Outgoing! Strong interpersonal skills!
Ability to learn quickly
Strong attention to detail
Solid written and oral communication skills
Some prior administrative work experience (law firm helpful)
Please note this position and the work involved will be on-site in the law firm office. During Covid-19, human contact is extremely limited. Each employee will be working in separate, closed offices and will be communicating via phone and video conference to minimize in-person contact. The office building has minimal staffing. All precautions for health and safety are being carefully followed. Must be willing to work on-site.
