Budget Manager
R & W Group has an amazing new position for a law firm Budget Manager! Our client, a large international law firm, is looking for a Budget Manager for their Washington, DC Office.
In this role you would direct and coordinate budgeting activities including budget formulation, monitoring, and presentation, direct compilation of data used to prepare budgets, and review operating budgets periodically to analyze trends affecting budget needs. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinating the Original and Revised Budget processes; designing and implementing effective budgeting policies and procedures; ensuring department managers meet budget submission deadlines; reviewing initial budget reports sent to directors for original and revised budgets; comparing the budget software totals with Aderant when required; reviewing certain reports in the Firm’s budget books to identify inconsistencies; preparing the capital expenditure schedule for original and revised budgets; using Budget Tool to develop budgets for Firm benefits; maintaining the Budget Tool, including user access and internal formulas; assisting identified departments in the creation of budgets; responding to day-to-day inquiries related to the budget; performing expense audits of departments and offices to ensure proper coding of actuals and budget; and preparing monthly Variance Analysis, including compensation and benefit variances .
QUALIFICATIONS:
Four-year college degree or equivalent experience required. BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
A minimum of five years of accounting experience including a minimum of three years of budgeting experience.
CPA and MBA preferred.
Public Accounting preferred.
Law firm or other professional services organization experience preferred.
Proficiency with Excel and Aderant/Elite.
Excellent communication, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Strong client services skills.
Flexibility to work additional hours, as needed.

Law Firm Senior Billing Analyst

In this role, you will assemble and process pre-bills; research and respond to attorney requests for client budgeting, reporting, and projects; and pitch in with end-of-month close out work.
The successful candidate will possess at least seven years of law firm billing experience, with special consideration being shown to candidates possessing a four-year degree, and excellent tenure. Candidates should have excellent Microsoft Excel skill sets, as well as exposure to 3E billing and eBillingHub systems. Key to this role are a strong sense of customer service, the ability to juggle a large workload and changing priorities within the workday, and excellent communication and organization skill sets.

Law Firm Accounting Assistant
R & W Group has a great new accounting position! Would you like to work with a highly regarded law firm? Do you have a BA and accounting experience/interest? If so, this might be the position you are looking for. Our client, a large international law firm, has an opening for an Accounting Assistant in their Washington, DC office. In this role, you would be responsible for assisting the managers and directors of the Finance & Accounting Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generating memos, emails and reports; preparing departmental letters (i.e., Partner employment verification letters, Partner retirement plan participant cost of living adjustment letters, residency certifications)
Providing Form W-9 and completing bank verification or vendor verification forms for clients and vendors
Maintaining the Firm Trading Database and responding to trade requests
Assisting in the administration of the Firm AmEx Corporate Card and PCard program as well as reconciling program usage monthly to ensure users are complying with the Firm Policy
Depositing checks received in the office via Desktop Deposit
Scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for the managers or directors in the Finance & Accounting Department.
Additional responsibilities may be included depending on needs of the department
QUALIFICATIONS:
Four-year college degree preferred (equivalent experience considered).
Minimum of two years of administrative experience.
Strong proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to multi-task.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work product.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large amounts of data.
Ability to manage time and prioritize workload effectively.
Reliability, dependability, and strong motivation to respond to requests quickly.
Ability to work additional hours as needed.
