Law Firm Benefits Assistant
Are you a junior-level college graduate with a passion for HR administrative work? Do you have prior exposure to employee benefit support and HRIS systems? R&W Group is staffing a role for a Benefits Assistant with one of our favorite law firm clients, centrally located in Washington, DC.
Reporting directly to the Benefits Manager at the firm, you will have the opportunity to act as a primary point of contact for benefit-related questions for an international firm, create and maintain benefit files for new hires and current employees, work with a variety of vendors on 401k and health benefit particulars and the annual open enrollment period, and assist with the exit checklist items associated with the benefits function for departing employees.
Qualifications:
Possess a four-year college degree
1-2 years of professional services HR exposure (either through internships, or post-graduation entry-level positions), with definite preference being show to candidates with prior law firm administrative and/or benefits administrative experience
Possess excellent Microsoft Office skills, excellent attention to detail, and a process-driven perspective when it comes to fulfilling daily job responsibilities

HR Generalist
Are you a Human Resources Generalist with excellent experience looking for a job in DC? We have the job for you! R & W Group is looking for an HR Generalist for a great client of ours in the commercial property industry. In this role, you will be responsible for performing HR-related duties and work closely with senior HR management. Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and maintains affirmation action program; files EEO-1 and Veterans report annually; audits FSLA codes; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Assists in the recruitment effort; revises job descriptions; posts all open positions on diversity websites, university boards, with recruiters and internally; researches LinkedIn for recruiting purposes; schedules interviews.
Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook; assists in creating a policies and procedures manual.
Performs benefits administration to include claims reporting, resolution, approving invoices for payment, updating reports, and assisting in communicating benefit information to employees.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
Completes requested government and compensation surveys; assists in gathering information for audits; completes employment verification forms.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college or university
Three to four years related experience in human resources
